Welcome to Calorie Genius ("the App"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access and use of the App. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the App.

1. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. Users under 18 must have parental or legal guardian consent.
  • By using the App, you confirm that you meet the age requirement.

2. Health Disclaimer

  • The App provides calorie tracking, macronutrient logging, and fitness-related insights for informational purposes only.
  • The App does not provide medical, nutritional, or fitness advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making dietary or fitness changes.
  • The App is not liable for any health decisions made based on information provided within the App.

3. Account and Data Collection

  • By using the App, you agree to provide accurate information, including name, email, gender, weight, height, macro preferences, and calorie intake and expenditure.
  • Your data is stored in our Firestore database.
  • If the App integrates with Apple Health in the future, it will comply with Apple's HealthKit privacy requirements.
  • The App may use third-party ad providers, including Admob, which may collect data for personalized advertising.

4. Coins and In-App Purchases

  • The App features a virtual currency called "Coins," which can be earned through challenges, rewarded video ads, and in-game activities.
  • Users can purchase Coins using in-app purchases (IAP) through the App Store.
  • Coins are non-refundable, non-transferable, and have no real-world monetary value.
  • Coins can be used for features such as ad removal, AI-powered searches, and other digital content.
  • All in-app purchases are final and non-refundable, unless required by law or the App Store's refund policy.

5. Use of AI Technology

  • The App utilizes AI tools powered by OpenAI's API or similar.
  • AI-generated responses may not always be accurate or appropriate. The App does not guarantee the correctness of AI-generated data.
  • Users should independently verify any health-related insights provided by AI before making decisions.

6. Ads and Monetization

  • The App displays banner ads and interstitial ads.
  • Users may remove ads for a specified period by spending Coins.
  • The App may integrate multiple ad networks, and ads may be personalized based on collected data.

7. Future Digital Goods

  • The App may offer ebooks and other digital goods for purchase using Coins or IAP.
  • Purchased digital goods are non-refundable.
  • Digital goods are for personal use only and may not be resold or redistributed.

8. User Conduct

  • Users must not exploit bugs, hack, or manipulate the Coin system.
  • The App may suspend or terminate accounts found in violation of these Terms.

9. Liability and Disclaimer

  • The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties.
  • The App is not responsible for errors, inaccuracies, or damages resulting from its use.
  • The App does not guarantee uninterrupted availability and may undergo maintenance or updates.

10. Modifications and Termination

  • The App reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes.
  • Users may stop using the App at any time. The App may terminate access to users who violate these Terms.

11. Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil
  • Any disputes shall be resolved through arbitration or the appropriate legal channels.
